Aims and Objectives

Tallo’s projects are aimed to aid the community to overcome its barriers, promote independency, good health & well being, motivate success and meet their needs in a holistic fashion through services designed through community consultation

Tallo will achieve the following objectives;

(1) To advance the education and training of persons originating from Somali, refugees and asylum seekers living in West London(UK) and people from  Somalia(East Africa).

(2) The preservation and protection of good health of persons originating from Somali refugees and asylum seekers living in West London and assist of the people from Somalia.

(3) The relief of financial hardship, sickness and distress of persons originating from Somali, refugees and asylum seekers living in West London and assist of the people from Somalia.

(4) The provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life of those persons who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social and economic circumstances.

Tallo is currently developing new services and undertaking capacity building to become a wide-ranging service provider for the Somali community. These include Family Learning, work surrounding Families Drugs & Alcohol, and capacity building, further youth mentoring, and others.
Tallo is a member of Advice UK, Ealing Advice Forum, Refugee Council, Ealing Youth & Connexions, ADFAM, LASA, Ealing Community Network, Ealing CVS, National Resource Centre for Supplementary Schools, NCVO and LORECA. Tallo have a strong working relationship with ECVS, Ealing Racial Equality Council, Action Acton, Southall Community Alliance, Acton Community Forum, Acton Advice Forum, Ealing Supplementary Schools Forum, Ealing Somali Confederation and other voluntary organisations including Somali Youth Union, Community Youth Club, Social Education Group, Acton Vale Somali Community, West London Somali Society and Access for Support & Development Centre.
